Jodie and I would like to start a weekly outdoor day for Explovery. We go outside almost every day but we want a day where we can 'dig' a little deeper.
We'd like to designate every Day 3 as Explovery Day and spend a good portion of that day outside. There is so much we can do out there and learning comes through play and exploration. In order to facilitate a day of outdoor explovery we need the children prepared to be outside for an extended period of time in all kinds of weather. I will send a reminder the day before that Day 3 is tomorrow. If the forecast is for rain or snow please pack the raincoat/snowpants etc. We want to be able to experience nature in all it's glory. Certainly, we will not go out in a thunderstorm or blizzard but all the rest is just normal weather. We have a saying in Outdoor Education..."There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices for weather."
